Heat up your waffle iron. I highly recommend placing a wooden chopping board or similar under the waffle iron to catch any melted cheese and make clean up easier.
Crack an egg into a bowl and beat with a fork until well beaten. Add in your cheese and mix together well.
Lightly brush the plates of the waffle iron with ghee or butter to grease. Divide cheese and egg mix between the two sides to make two Hassle Free Chaffles. Try and pile the cheese near the centre, but let the egg run over the plates towards the sides.
Close the waffle iron and cook the Hassle Free Chaffles for approximately 8 minutes. Some cheese mix may ooze out and steam will come out the sides of the waffle iron as it cooks. The steam dying down is a good indicator that the Hassle Free Chaffles are ready.
Carefully start to open the waffle iron, if you notice the chaffles have stuck at all, use a plastic disposable knife or similar to gently lift any parts that have stuck off the plates so your chaffles don’t break.
Once you have the waffle iron completely open, your chaffles will look like the waffle iron hasn’t been filled enough, this is what you want! Carefully lift the chaffles off the bottom plates and flip. The bottom side should be nice and presentable!
Eat the chaffles as is or use in chosen recipe.
