Steak and Prosciutto Roll Ups

Minute steak layered with prosciutto, rolled and cooked in a tomato sauce.

  • Lay out a schnitzel, layer a slice of prosciutto on top and sprinkle with ½ tbsp parmesan.
  • Roll up tightly and use a toothpick or string to hold it together. Repeat with remaining schnitzels.
  • Heat olive oil in a frying pan and brown roll ups over high heat. Remove to a small roasting dish and top with homemade passata. Cook in the oven at 180C for 15 – 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and set aside roll ups. Add cream to roasting dish and mix through until well combined with the Homemade Passata.
  • Remove toothpicks or string, add back the roll ups and turn to coat in the sauce. Serve roll ups on their own with the sauce or over your favourite pasta replacement. Sprinkle and top with optional extra parmesan if using.
